How to make it

Prep 15 min · Cook 20 min

  1. Cut potatoes into sticks; soak 15 minutes, drain, and pat dry. Pat cod dry; season with salt and pepper.
  2. Fry chips at about 170°C 4 minutes; drain. Raise to 190°C and fry 2 minutes until crisp.
  3. Dredge fish in flour, egg, then flour; fry at 170°C about 3 minutes per side until golden.
  4. Drain fish and chips on a rack; sprinkle salt, serve with lemon juice and tartar sauce if desired.
