How to make it

Prep 7 min · Cook 10 min

  1. Cut 120 g beef into thin strips against the grain; slice 100 g mushrooms; mince 2 garlic cloves. Mix 1 tbsp soy sauce with a pinch of black pepper and set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium; stir-fry mushrooms until they release water, then keep cooking 2–3 minutes more until surfaces look lightly dry and fragrant; set aside.
  3. Add 1/2 tbsp more olive oil to the same pan; stir-fry garlic about 15 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add beef over high heat; stir-fry 1–2 minutes until color changes and no red remains in the center.
  5. Return mushrooms; drizzle in the soy sauce and pepper mixture; toss over high heat about 30 seconds until evenly coated.
  6. When beef is cooked through and mushrooms still have some chew, serve.

Tips & storage

Make it easier

  • Let mushroom liquid cook off patiently for better flavor.
  • Rest meat for 2–3 minutes before slicing; when pieces vary in thickness, check the thickest center for doneness.

Best eaten right after cooking.
